Watchdog-O-Matic ensures that your programs remain running or active even when there's been a major system error whilst you're not there. This typically occurs in the case of a server that goes down or a runtime error temporarily crashes windows whilst you are away from your PC.
The program checks the integrity of applications and in the event of not being able to fix failures, notifies you via e-mail and restarts the program to return to work. This is really useful if you use something like eMule and are worried that it may crash whilst you are away and you'll thus return to find only partially downloaded material. In addition to automatically detecting applications that have ceased to operate, Watchdog-O-Matic is integrated into the shell - i.e. you can access its functions through the console prompt.
This is an excellent utility for anyone that needs essential programs running 24/7 although it doesn't support all applications.
